Español español español!!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make a bit of an effort with the mascots project and send lots of pictures to add to the blog. I am sure there are a lot of things to share with our Spanish and Japanese friends about Canada and Canadian culture or your own cultures!!!

This week we have finished our Social Studies lesson about The Lowlands and Great Lakes and we have started studying learning about the Canadian Shield.

In maths we have been practicing with the equivalent fractions and also we have learnt about the prime numbers, decomposing numbers in prime numbers and the least common multiple and the greatest common divisor. We have been comparing fractions and seeing how to know which of them are bigger or smaller. An interesting topic in my opinion!!!

Health , art and religion have been interesting as usual.

We continue reading and studying The Hutchet in ELA and soon we will start with daily 5 so please, please bring books to read!!!!

This week the children have learnt a lot about Cristóbal Colón, his life and Valladolid, the city where I was born. I prepared a web quest to help kids understand how to use internet properly and to take advance of such an amazing learning tool!!!!

Follow the links if you want to read more or review what we have been doing in class!!!
